The Blood Connection will host a blood drive on Thursday, November 5 from 2 to 6 pm at the Rocky Mount Mills. All donors will receive a $10 gift card (while supplies last) and a $10 donation will be made to the United Way Tar River Region for each donor that participates.
It’s that time of year again! Nash County 4-H is holding a food drive to benefit local food banks. Donations can include: canned goods, dry goods, non-perishable items, and toiletries. Help Nash 4-H help others. Drop off at the farmers market or Ag Center through November 21st.
The Wilson Lions club will hold a Holiday Food Drive on Saturday, November 21st from 10 am to 4pm in the parking lot at Brentwood Shopping Center on Ward Street in Wilson. The Town of Tarboro will hold a Virtual Tree Lighting at 6 pm on Thursday, December 10, on the Town of Tarboro Facebook Page. Afterward, The Tarboro Parks and Rec Department will host Gingerbread House Decorating at the Braswell Center from 6 to 8 pm.

Harold D. Cooley Library in Nashville will offer an Adult Heart Health course on Thursday, February 18 from 4 to 5 pm. Interested patrons should call the library at 459-2106 to register. Social distancing and facial masks are encouraged when visiting the library.
