The First United Methodist Church (100 South Church Street) in Rocky Mount is cooking up some fish for their fish fry on Friday, September 29th from 11:30 to 1:30. For $12, you get fish, potatoes, slaw and hushpuppies. Eat in or take out.
Peacemakers is having their annual banquet on Thursday, October 5th from 6:30 to 8 pm. Admission is $40 for an individual or $300 for a table. The picnic will be at Englewood Baptist Church (1350 S Winstead Avenue) in Rocky Mount.
The St. Therese Knights of Columbus will be hosting a golf tournament to benefit Veterans Residential Services of Wilson on Friday, October 6th at Willow Springs Country Club. The Triangle Land Conservancy’s Autumn Tour will be at the Williamson Farm and Nature Preserve (4409 Mial Plantation Road) in Raleigh on October 7th from 1 to 3:30. On this 4-mile hike, you will explore varying habitats and see multiple types of regenerative agriculture. This is a free event, but preregistration is required at triangleland.org.
