The Disabled American Veterans Twin County Chapter is dedicated with assisting area veterans with transportation to their scheduled appointments. The transportation network must have volunteer drivers to continue to aid these wounded warriors. If you are interested in being a volunteer driver, call (252) 212-5568 and leave a message. Triangle Land Conservancy and the Raleigh Astronomy Club are holding First Friday Under the Stars on Friday, May 5th from 7:30 until 11:00 pm. This event will take place at Three Bears Private Reserve (711 Beaver Dam Road) in Creedmoor. The event is free, but registration is required. Register at triangleland.org.
Louisburg United Methodist Church’s annual Flea Market will be on Saturday, May 6th, from 7 until noon. The event will be held inside the Fellowship Hall (103 E Noble Street, Louisburg). Profits will go towards renovation of our playground to aid our preschool.

National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food drive is Saturday, May 13th. Participating in this year’s Food Drive is simple. Just leave a non-perishable food donation in a bag by your mailbox Saturday, May 13th and your letter carrier will do the rest. These donations go directly to a local food pantry.
