There will be an official opening ceremony for “The Wall That Heals” – a ¾ replica of the Vietnam Memorial – at 5 pm on Thursday, October 17 at Braswell Park in Tarboro. The ceremony will include a fly over of planes from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, a Navy Band and Color Guards from Edgecombe County High School ROTC units. The speaker is Colonel Walter J. Marm – Medal of Honor Recipient from the Vietnam War.
