Cary – The Town of Cary’s Independence Day Celebration at Koka Booth Amphitheatre featuring the Cary Town Band, North Carolina Symphony and Fireworks will start at 5:30;
Durham – The Children’s Independence Day Parade at Durham Central Park will start at 9:30;
Greenville – The Independence Day Celebration in Greenville will take place on the town common from 5 to 10 pm;
Halifax – The Independence Day Celebration in Halifax will take place from 2 to 7pm at the Halifax State Historic Site;
Kenly – Fireworks beginning at 9pm during Kenly’s 4th of July Celebration at 95 Petro
Knightdale – The 7th Annual “4th on 1st” celebration at Knightdale State Park with fireworks starting around 9:15;
Smithfield – The town of Smithfield will celebrate with fireworks starting around 9pm;
Wake Forest – The Children’s Parade in Wake Forest will start at the intersection of N. Main Street and West Juniper Street. Area children are invited to line up starting at 1 and the parade will begin at 1:30;
Wake Forest – Art in the Park will take place at Wake Forest Community House on West Owen Avenue from 2 to 4 pm. Children of all ages are invites to create a variety of interesting arts and craft projects.
