(2023) Episode 21 – There’s a lot that can be said about Leon Jackson. He’s a native of Louisiana, Army Veteran, certified substance abuse counselor…and our guest on Grace Notes this week. Growing up in poverty on a plantation in Louisiana, young Leon joined the Army as a Combat Engineer. He served for twenty-two years before retiring in 2003 and earning his degree in substance abuse counseling. Leon now resides in Lee County, where he is a substance abuse counselor and Founder of Project Point Five – a non-profit organization seeking to help disadvantaged young men navigate the maze of life.
