(2023) Episode 20 – Alexa Gearhart knows all too well that losing a child means being a club that nobody wants to be a part of, but, that it is a club that has the most supportive members. Alexa shares her heartbreaking and heartwarming story of how she’s been able to turn unimaginable grief into a true blessing for countless other families. Upon losing her son, Hudson, just two weeks before his due date, Alexa felt an outpouring of love from her community. She says in the hours and days and weeks after his passing, it was her faith and the people around her that pulled her through. Through her pain, Alexa has found tremendous strength and purpose through an organization she started called Even In The Valley, a faith-based ministry which helps grieving parents with resource support during their darkest hours.
